Biofuels Technology Platform discusses Political and Research Framework for Sustainable Biofuels production and use in Europe

The Biofuels Technology Platform Stakeholder Plenary Meeting was held at the Diamant Conference Centre in Brussels on 31 January 2008, and attended by over 300 delegates. The event saw the launch of the Biofuels TP Strategic Research Agenda and Strategy Deployment Document. Although the conference dealt specifically with Liquid Biofuels for Transport, it raised a number of issues related to sustainable production and use of biomass and bioenergy which are applicable to the use of Biomass and Bioliquids within the Emissions Trading Scheme, including an overview of the political framework from:
