Background

This event was one of four Facilitation workshops that took place in January and February 2008, with the aim of encouraging interaction between market actors in Asia and EU.

The following were the objectives of the workshop:

  • to disseminate the model examples and Sustainable Energy Technology(SET)/CDM financing concepts
  • to identify SET needs for a sustainable energy development in Malaysia
  • to initiate specific business co-operation between companies in Malaysia and EU and strengthening the overall business relations between SET sectors in Malaysia and EU

  • Renewable Energy (Biomass, Biogas, Solar and Hydro)
  • Energy Efficiency Improvement
  • Waste Management
  • Transport
  • Landfill

Stakeholders:

  • Project developers in Malaysia
  • National and Technical Committee on CDM for Energy Sector
  • Local and EU technology suppliers
  • Financial Institutions
  • Malaysia Industry Associations

Target audience: 100 persons

The workshop was organised by the Malaysian partners in the T@W project, PTM, Malaysia
