Introduction

The aim of the T@W project is to facilitate co-operation between EU ETS companies and the European RTD environment, with the overall objective of enhancing penetration of the European sustainable energy solutions and know-how on these emerging markets.

The T@W action entails thematic promotion of Sustainable Energy Technologies (SET) at the EU ETS market as well as the CDM markets in selected Asian countries.

This will facilitate European companies in complying with their CO2 obligations, and at the same time provide markets for the European RTD environment, and lead to a more sustainable development in the countries addressed through the mechanisms.

The targeted sustainable energy technologies (SET) are:

  • Bioenergy (solid biomass including biomass CHP, biogas, etc);
  • Wind energy;
  • Solar thermal heating and cooling and solar PV;
  • Small-scale hydropower;
  • Geothermal energy;
  • Polygeneration (Trigeneration, CHP, etc).

The geographical scope of the T@W action's direct intervention covers:

  • EU ETS market: Portugal, Spain, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Poland, Germany and Denmark;
  • CDM markets in India, China, Thailand and Malaysia.

Part of the T@W project was to organise Facilitation workshops for encouraging interaction of market actors in Asia and EU due to a two-fold objective:

  • Initiate specific SET/CDM project development in Asia in line with the technology needs and technology transfer aspects. This is to build on assessment and CDM project identification undertaken in the first part of the T@W project.
  • Facilitating business cooperation between local market actors and EU companies.

The schedule of the Facilitation workshops was as follows:

Business-to-Business (B2B) Meetings
During the workshops, business-to-business meetings will be arranged offering you an opportunity to meet with other organisations, which will be in the interests of both parties.

If you offer sustainable energy technologies or project development services, and want to find project owners, or ...

... you are involved in a project and are seeking project development assistance or technology suppliers, then ...

... please complete the Partner Matching Form:

Registration and Partner Matching Form (50 Kb .doc)

If you are unable to attend these facilitation workshops, you are still welcome to complete a partner matching form, which will be disseminated during the workshops. You will also have the opportunity to meet contacts at a follow-up event in Copenhagen in March 2008.
