Abengoa is an industial and technological company. Abengoa Bioenergy is the biggest ethanol producer in Europe.

The Solar Energy branch of Abengoa is specialised in the design, promotion, construction and exploitation of solar energy plants. It also carries out R&D activities to improve the technology and reduce costs.

Abengoa Solar focuses on the promotion, construction and operation of solar electric energy generating plants (tower, trough, hybrid plants ISCC and photovoltaic) and customized installations (hot water and air production, heating and air conditioning).

They offer a complete service of promotion, construction and operation. They are also carrying out R&D on bother thermal and photovoltaic systems, including high accuracy heliostat, new heat transfer fluids, new optics and cell materials for PV.
