Maskinfabrikken REKA was established in 1979. The company specialises in producing boilers and fully automatic systems for use with most kinds of solid biofuels. They export to (among others) the Baltic States, Russia, Greenland, Scandinavia, Germany, The Netherlands, Poland and Ghana.

Generally, REKA produces standard biofuel boilers as well as custom built solutions for larger plants. The product development is such that now REKA is among the leading producers on the market for co-generation plants on wood/straw gasification, smoke cleaning systems with or without condensation of smoke and experiments with Stirling motor in co-generation plants.

Design, production and construction

• Manually operated Reka boiler for burning straw, wood, ect. from 22 - 250 kW.
• Production of automatic firing plant for burning straw, wood chips, wood shavings, straw/wood pellets, coal, grain and grain waste etc.
• Projection and construction of complete combustion plant/district heating, from 10 - 6500 kW, for bio-fuel with moisture content up to 55 %

Research and development

• Heating power station by combustion of wood chips, on Stirling project, which is a motor with electric-generator.
• Electro filter which can cleanse the smoke for straw as well as a Venture Scrubber also for cleansing of smoke for straw/chips with condensation.
• They deliver boilers for testing combustion of biofuel
• Co-operation with Danmarks Tekniske Universitet
