ENEA has headquarters in Rome and a Brussels-based liason office, as well as a network of branch offices distributed across Italy that function as interface between demand from diverse private and public actors operating at local scale (public administrations, enterprises, bodies, universities, professional associations, trade associations etc.) and ENEA's programmatic activities and scientific know-how, to provide appropriate and operative responses, while fostering sustainability criteria, in the fields of energy and the environment in local economic processes.

The nine ENEA Research Centres and five Research Laboratories cover a wide range of expertise, advanced facilities and instruments put at the disposal of both ENEA€s research programmes and the Nation's scientific and productive world. Activities include Energy Technologies, Renewable Energy Sources and Energy Saving.
