CENTIMFE - Technological Centre for the Mouldmaking, Special Tooling and Plastic Industries is an infrastructure to support development and sustainability of these industries, whose goals include:

• technical and technological support to companies
• Research and Development in critical Industry areas
• the improvement of quality in industrial production (management, normalisation, metrology and certification)
• technical and specialized technological training of Human Resources
• dissemination of technical and technological information
• promotion of the sector and contact with national and foreign R&D Centres
• follow-up the "state-of-the-art" technologies and the sector technological matrix

Currently, CENTIMFE has specialized technical teams that have been developing competences and provide services in key areas, like Product Development, Rapid Prototyping, High Speed Machining, EDM, Materials, Injection Moulding, Dimensional Control, and Information and Communication Technologies, keeping special attention to the current "state-of-the-art" in the different areas.
